Dear Friends, Family and Supporters,

Wow! We did it. We ran an ethical, clean, professional race and we emerged victorious. We proved Detroiters are ready for something different. We proved Detroiters are ready to rise up and take the reins of the city again.

But, you knew that didn’t you? That’s why you have forwarded emails, passed out literature, purchased tickets, displayed lawn signs and did so many other things in support of the James Tate for Detroit City Council Campaign. You made all the difference in this race. Whether it was your sacrifice of time, money or talent, your contribution made a tremendous impact.

We have worked so hard for the moment we are experiencing right now. I’m currently at a loss for eloquent words to express the depths of my gratitude. So, I’ll say simply and sincerely, “Thank you.”

Thank you for your support and encouragement. But, most of all, thank you for your votes. With the confidence you have entrusted in me, I will represent the people of Detroit to the best of my ability. It will be my great joy and privilege to do so.
